Glue up the pieces. instructions Transfer the pattern and cut the pieces Using the table saw (or its equivalent), cut the wood to size. Copy the pattern and save the original for later use. Adhere the copies to the wood. With a drill and small bit, bore blade entry holes in the waste areas. Feed the scroll saw blade through the holes and cut along the lines. Remove the pattern from the wood. Finish Sand the pieces with the belt or hand held sander. Remove any burrs and clean up any cuts as necessary. If you are going to apply a finish to your frame, apply it only to the back and sides of the back piece, and the front and sides of the front piece. Make sure no finish gets onto the surfaces that are to be glued. Glue and display Glue the overlay to the front as shown in Fig. 1. Make sure that it is flush on all four sides. Next, glue your favorite picture in place. Then, glue the front assembly to the backpiece. Make sure that this is flush on all four sides. Clamp the two halves together and attach the two small hinges (see Fig. 2). Add the latch as shown in Fig. 3. Sit back and enjoy your picture frame! || Rear view Fig. 3.
