Exploded View Drawing Bore 3/0"-Dia. thru for key and turntable Arch Support Attach the top to the frame with wood glue and finishing nails Cut slots to receive the arch supports in the top piece Top/bottom Frame Creative Woodworks & Crafts BILL OF materials Quantity instructions Cut the pattern pieces Cut your workpieces to size according to the Bill Of Materials and sand as needed. Next, attach patterns to the work-pieces using the spray adhesive. Drill blade entry holes as needed and countersink holes where indicated on the patterns. Cut the pieces to shape. Remove the patterns and sand off any glue residue as necessary. Oil or stain all pieces with the finish of your choice. Assembly Assemble the music box by first attaching the top to the frame with wood glue and finishing nails. Next, attach the music box movement to the upper side of the bottom with small screws, be sure to position the movement correctly. Next, secure the bottom to the frame with No. 6 x 3/4" wood screws. Attach the arch, arch supports, and feet where indicated, securing with wood glue or silicone {see the Exploded View Drawing). Next, secure the metal turntable into position on the bottom of the wood turntable, and attach this assembly to the music box movement. Center the figures on top of the turntable and secure with wood glue or silicone. Finally, attach the key to the music box movement. Note: do not attach the figures to the turntable until the rest of the project has been assembled. This way, you can center the figures on the wood turntable under the arch. The music box movement should stop in approximately the same position after each winding. SUPPLIES Tools: scroll saw with Nos. 2 and 5 blades; drill with bits including 1"-Dia.
