SUPPLIES

Wood: hardwood of choice—one piece 3/4" x 14" x 10" (the minimum dimensions for the pattern are provided here)

Tools: scroll saw with No. 5 blades (12.5 tpi); drill with

No. 58 bit Temporary-bond spray adhesive Sandpaper, assorted grits Clear spray finish of choice Background of choice (optional) Wood glue

INSTRUCTIONS

This horse pattern is a very simple beginner's design. For the background. I used a photograph my husband had taken. Other suggestions for a background are photos from a calendar or magazine;-a piece ot fabric, felt or leather; an air brushed or painted background; or a piece of stained glass or acrylic plastic.

Adhere the pattern to the wood using spray adhesive. Bore blade entry holes and make alt interior cuts. Sand as necessary and finish as desired. Finally, glue your chosen background to the project and enjoy!
