Loren Lorenz of Meadow Grove, NE, has been working with wood most of his life, especially carving, but became very involved with intarsia over seven years ago. He makes most of his pieces from photos and uses a wide variety of hardwoods for his projects. The Elk Ilcad has 38 pieces and is made from walnut, maple, and basswood.The Tractor consists of 100 pieces and is made from poplar, walnut, and yellow heart. The Sandhill Crane is made from padauk, ash, walnut, yellow heart, and maple and consists of 23 pieces. Keep up the fine work, Loren!
