Follow this diagram when tying the two-pieced ornaments together.

INSTRUCTIONS

Apply the patterns to 1 /4" wood and drill entry holes where needed. The larger drill bit is used for the hanger openings and the holes needed to attach the two-pieced ornaments together. Saw each ornament, carefully remove any remaining pattern, and sand smooth. I replace the scrap from the more delicate ones while sanding in order to help prevent breaking, then discard them before painting or applying the finish. Feel free to add a bit of paint to any ornament you wish. Sometimes a little paint will accent your ornaments beautifully.

Once you are happy with the sanding and/or painting, apply the clear finish. After dry, tie the two-pieced ornaments together as shown in the diagram. Be sure the knot is tight and then trim off the extra thread.
