points for the axle holes in the chassis edges. However, before you drill these V holes, temporarily hold the fenders and wheels in position, and make certain the wheels center in the wheel wells. Adjust the hole locations if necessary, and then drill them. Step 2: Mount the wheels, then glue and clamp the fenders and the bumpers to ____ the chassis. When gluing the fenders in place, note that we positioned the J bottom edge V* above the bottom w—^ edge of the chassis. \ Step 3: To attach the bumpers, hold ^s them in position and drill through the existing bumper holes and into tiie chassis. Now. attach the bumpers using the short lengths of1 dowel you cut earlier. then cut them out and tape them together to make a complete pattern. Note: The length of the running board between the fenders measures V/". Step 2: Using double-faced tape, stack the two fender blanks face to face, and trace the fender pattern outline onto the top piece. Then, handsaw both pieces to shape. Separate the fenders, remove the tape, and using a file or sandpaper, shape them to approximate the look of the fenders on the coupe in the photo.
