Edward Albrechl's boyhooi memories include what was probably one of the first RlRRtrir. jigsaus nn the markf t.

dad. I was seven years old. It was purchased Tom Sears, Dcc. 14th, 1941. at a cost of 87.16.

I know not many things of metal were made after the war started, so I guess we were lucky to purchase the Jigsaw at that time.

A Bedtime Story

I have been a fan of Kick White's articles for many years, and save many back issues of '.lie journal just for

his projects. Recently my son was redoing a bedroom for his daughter, and I remembered Rick's bed project ["A Bed Designed f:>r Reading"] from the February 2001 issue. Attached are a couple o; photos of my completed version of that project. I decided to hit the wood ightly with dark walnut Danish oil, to bring out the grain in the ash. I think it turned out great, and my granddaughter loves it.
