Ammonia fuming in a small shop is possible, but it's tricky and can be dangerous.

Exceptional care and extreme precautions must be taken to perform this task. This article suggests an easier alternative.

You may be asking yourself if a finishing fanatic like Gustav Stickley would be satisfied with the result. That is something we will never know, but if you are looking for an easy-to-do, Stickley-similar finish, 1 think this ^ one will do nicely._
