Tool company RIDGID has partnered with computer maker Dell to create four laptops, designed for contractor use on jobsites, but which would work just as well lor woodworkers doing outside or home improvement projects. The RIDGID Contractor Grade Laptops withstand drops of up to four feet, plus conditions such as pounding rain, blowing dust and dirt and extreme temperatures. They come with RIDGID monitoring, recording and data management tools as part of the pre-loaded software. Pricing ranges from $4,754 for the E6400 XFR, equipped with Dell's Ballistic Armor™ Protection System, to $1,579 for the standard K6410, designed for ong batten life.
