Customizing Challenges

While 1 have no right to question the professionalism of the author of this article | "Customizing Your Band Saw,"

October 2010\, I must admit there are questions I have.

1 purchased a riser block for my band saw and discovered it would not seat correctly. 1 contacted the company and they disclosed the method of repair, but il never did operate correctly.

I then purchased a saw table for the hand saw from a woodworking retailer and, once assembled, discovered the zero clearance insert plate was set below the tabletop, caus rig it lo catch on the stock 1 was trying to cut. The hold-down T-tracks were not true with the top, either, and they continued to catch the piece of wood, thereby making the saw hazardous lo use, riot to mention annoying.

There's just nothing better than seeing an interpretation (including corrections and improvements) of one of our designs. So, are you ready to tackle the bookcase in this issue ... o- perhaps yet another version of the table? That's something I'd really like to see!

1 decided lo make the door out of oak. The dass is
