Dan Gindling of San Diego, California, used recycled urban sycamore and walnut in his CD cabinet. "You're not cutting down a rainforest. I told [my wife] that this is the only CD cabinet I'm ever making her, so that's why it holds 700."

Charlie Cheney of Lancaster, South Carolina, adapted Woodworker's Journal plans to make a Jewelry Box which locks. He added a full mortised lock and lid support and back-mounted stop hinges. Then he gave the box to his granddaughter, who said, "This is sooocool!"
