In 1946, the brothers sold lheir farm and bought a building in Spillville. It was an old shop, with an apartment upstairs, builL in 1859 which they converted into the museum. Il is interesting Lo note that Lhe world famous musician and composer, Antonin Dvorak, lived in the aparLment during Lhe summer of 1893. It is said he composed "Humoresque" thai summer in Spillville.

The town of Spillville was given the Bily brothers' clock collection in 1947, with the
