Saw out the Christmas tree opening, cut the outline, and then cut the panels into "board-like" pieces. Note: the cuts on the boards should NOT be straight lines.

Use sandpaper, files, rasps, etc. to give each piece an "authentic" appearance. Round over all of the edges, then distress the wood by gouging and nicking at random. Next, cut the floor piece and round over the edges. Apply Fruitwood stain according to manufacturer's directions.

Cut the runners and drill small holes using the No. 61 mini drill bit for the brass pins as indicated. Clean up
