in the Assembly the ends with an overhand knot to secure the beads in place.

Next, attach the simulated eagle feathers to the 30" length of leather lacing about 2-1/2" away from the wrapped lace area. Place one feather on each side, taking care to match the curve of the feather with the curve of the wooden circle.

Trim the back side of the simulated eagle feather shafts as shown in Fig. 5. This will lessen the bulk and provide a channel for the lace to fit into. While holding the feather and lace in place, wrap with a 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" piece of red felt, then secure with artificial sinew (see Fig. 6). Note: the sinew is tacky and will stick to itself. Begin at the top of the felt and wrap the sinew horizontally around the lace and felt twice. Next, make two long angled wraps down the center front of the felt. Along the bottom of the felt, make three horizontal wraps, each one on top of the first. Finish with two long angle wraps toward the top of the felt. Note: these wraps should cross the first set of long angle wraps to form an "X". Wrap the remaining sinew in place around the top horizontal wrap.

Attach the other three simulated eagle feathers and all accent feathers in the same manner, referring to the Assembly View Drawing for placement. Secure the accent feathers in place by pushing the shafts under the felt pieces and lace wraps, rj
