lacing in the shaft channel, then wrap a piece of red felt around the lace and feather shaft. Hold this assembly together and wrap a 12" length of artificial sinew around it. The simulated eagle feather should have a portion of lace and the end bead combination laying on top of it. Place one black hackle on top of one white plume and slide the shafts under the beads at the end of the lace.

On the longer lace, string the top bead combination and hold in place with an overhand knot about 7-1/4" down from the reversed double half hitch knot. Place a red plume cn top of a white fluffy plume and slide the shafts of the feathers under the beads. String on the lower bead combination and hold in place with an overhand knot about 5" down from the previous knot. be of unequal lengths, with the shorter lace toward the outside (approximately 15" long).

Note: the Assembly View Drawings show the knot spacing on only one side and the bead combinations on the other. The knot spacing and bead combinations should be identical on both sides.

String the top bead combination onto the shorter lace and tie an overhand knot below the beads about 4" down from the reversed double half hitch knot. String on the next bead combination for this lace, and tie an overhand knot below them, about 6" from the previous knot.

Prepare a simulated eagle feather by soaking the shaft in warm water to soften it, then trim the shaft of the feather from the front, making a channel to accept the leather lacing.

Place the feather face-forward, with the leather
