INSTRUCTIONS ^

Cut the patterns

Transfer the patterns using spray adhesive, then bore blade entry holes as well as the 1-3/8"-Dia. hole to receive the clock insert in both the front piece (A) and the front liner (G). Make all cuts. Hint: most of the straight exterior cuts are best made with a table saw or similar. Remove patterns and sand as needed, cleaning up any cuts as necessary with the craft knife.

Assembly

Glue the sides (C) flush to the back piece (B) and then glue the front piece (A) in place to form the well assembly. Sand any mismatches flush and fill in any open seams with a bead of wood glue, then sand while the glue is still wet (the sawdust will mix with the glue and fill gaps).

Glue the well assembly to the base (F). Insert the front and back liners (G and H) and the side liners (I) into the well assembly. Glue the top (J) to the well assembly.

Glue the roof brackets (E) to the outside of the side liners, making sure that they are located level across one another as shown in Fig. 2. Sand a 45 degree angle on the top edge of the roof panels (D). Note: each panel should be the opposite of the other. Glue the roof panels (D) onto the roof brackets.

Allow all glue to dry for one hour. Apply oil finish according to the manufacturer's instructions and allow to dry. Insert the clock movement and enjoy! i-i
