Box 701, Platteville, Wi 53818. 1-800-566-6394. m INSTRUCTIONS This project is designed to hold a 1-7/16"-Dia. clock insert which is supplied with a rubber gasket to hold it snugly inside a 1-3/8"-Dia. hole. To eliminate the need for this gasket, I have drawn the pattern with a 34mm-Dia. mounting hole. This hole can be carefully cut with a scroll saw. Cut the "peace" and cross from different colored woods for best effect. The lettering for this clock design was created with a set of letter guides from SEYCO. With them you can create all kinds of wonderful designs for desk clocks, name signs or whatever. Transfer the patterns to the selected stock with spray adhesive. Bore blade entry holes in the waste areas and saw out the pieces. Make the interior cuts first, then saw around the perimeter. Rout a decorative profile on the upper edge of the base as desired. Attach the "peace" and cross upright pieces to the base as indicated on the pattern with glue and No. 6 x 1" wood screws. Apply finish as desired. When dry, insert the clock movement and enjoy! 28 • Creative Woodworks is Uratts January 2002 |
