INSTRUCTIONS

Choose your material from a variety of hardwoods or solid core plywood.

Make photocopies of all patterns, saving originals for the future as well as for reference in constructing this project. Cut the work pieces to size according to the Bill of Materials. Sand as needed. Using spray adhesive, adhere the paper patterns to the wood. Bore blade entry holes and make all cuts, beginning with the interior and working toward the perimeter. Remove the patterns and sand off any glue residue as necessary. Shape the pieces as indicated on the pattern. Note: before removing the pattern from the Rim Design, mark at least two points of each star with the point of a nail. This will allow the stars to be placed more easily and accurately into position.

Assembly

Using wood glue, attach the Rim Design (H) to the front side of the Back (I). Next, attach the Stars (G) on the front side of the Rim Design in the places indicated on the pattern. Attach paper of choice to the back of the Banner (F). This will allow the letters to stand out more dominantly. Attach the Banner to the front of the Rim Design as indicated on pattern.

Using wood glue, assemble the eagle by securing the Back Wing (C) to the back side of the Body (A) where indicated on the pattern. Attach the Front Wing (B), Feet (D) and Head Overlay (E) to the Body as indicated on the pattern. Finally, attach the eagle into position and finish as desired. When complete, add hanger of choice and enjoy!
