SUPPLIES

Wood: wood of choice—one piece 1/8" x 5" x 10-3/4" (for the train), one piece 1/8" x 1 -3/4" x 4" (for cloud No. 1), one piece 1/8" x 1-1/4" x 4-1/4" (for cloud No. 2), one piece 3/4" x 8" x 12" (for the backer) Tools: scroll saw with assorted blades; drill with bits Temporary-bond spray adhesive Sandpaper, assorted grits Wood glue

Clear oil finish of choice Hanger of choice

STREAMLINER TRAIN

INSTRUCTIONS

Copy the patterns and transfer them to the selected stock, attaching them with spray adhesive. Bore blade entry holes in the waste areas and saw the train, clouds, and backer to shape. When sawing the train, make all interior cuts first.

Thoroughly sand each piece. Referring to the pattern, glue the two cloud pieces and the train in place. Apply two coats of clear finish to the wood. When dry, attach the hanger to the back of the piece. Hang and enjoy!
