Creative Woodworks & crafts 2002-11, страница 29______________ Patterns Located in Full Size Pattern Section No. 1! THE PONTIAC PICNIC 2000 MINI CLOCK NO, 2 by Don and Raymond Wilckens of Wilckens Woodworking INSTRUCTIONS Adhere the patterns to the selected stock with spray adhesive. Bore blade entry holes in the waste areas of the patterns then make all cuts beginning with the interior and working toward the perimeter. Note: it is best to cut the hole for the clock insert in each of the required pieces before making any other cuts. You can either saw the opening or bore it with a l-3/8"-Dia. Forstner bit. If you saw or bore this hole after the smaller cuts have been made, you stand a chance of snapping the piece due to the weakened areas of the wood. When cutting is complete, remove the patterns and sand as needed. To assemble, attach the spacer to the back of the clock surround with wood glue. Glue the spacer with attached clock surround to the riser, then glue the upright assembly to the base. Apply finish of choice and you're done! » SUPPLIES Wood: wood of choice—one piece 1/2" x 7-1/2" x 7-1/2" (for the clock surround), one piece 1/2" x 2" x 2" (for the spacer ring); first contrasting wood of choice—one piece 1 /2" x 5" x 5" (for the riser); contrasting wood of choice—one piece 1 /2" x 2-1/2" x 7-1/4" (for the base) Tools: scroll saw with assorted blades; drill with bits including a l-3/8"-Dia.
