Step 6. Using c smal drill bit, drill a hole in the waste area of each cutout.

Step 7. Feed scroll saw bade through the sma.l holes and cut along lines. Feed "he b.ade through the next hole and so on, making all the interior cuts first. For exterio" cuts, you can cut in from the eage or dril a small hole just outside the exterior line. Step 8. Remove pa'terns from wood by peeling them off. If a patterns is attached too firmly, you can use a hair blow-cryer. Be very careful because some cuts are very fragile. Step 9. Sand workpieces with belt or handheld sarder.

Step 10. Remove any burrs and clean up any cuts with an X-octo knife or a needle pick.

Step 11. Cut mair pattern piece (A) either as one piece or as two thinner pieces whose combined thicknesses equai 3/4" (see Fig. 1). Whether

using one or two pieces, sand the contour flush all around. Step 12. Drill a 2-3/8"-Dia. hole through the main pattern piece and back piece a" the c ock location (see pattern).

Step 13. Glue the upper base (D) to the lower base (C). Then glue the main pattern piece (A) to the back piece (B). These all need to be centered (see Fig. 2).

Step 14. Glue "he clock body assembly (A+B) to the base ossemby (C+D).

This also needs to be certered. Step 15. Allow glue to dry ~or one hour. Step 16. Apply oil "inish per manufacturer's instructions. Step 17. Install the c ock insert. Step 18. Sit back and enjoy your new clock!
