Be sure that the base rotates freely. Glue the lower dividers and post to the lower plate (see Fig. 2). Cut the 45 degree decorative bevel on the upper center post and assemble the upper section (see Fig. 3). Continuing to refer to Fig. 3, glue the side panels in place. Attach the upper and lower trim pieces with small brads as shown. Sand the assembled carousel and stain or finish as desired. |r| William A. INSTRUCTIONSSize the stock Cut the various components to the dimensions indicated in the Bill of Materials. Transfer the patterns for the base, upper/lower plates, and side panels (found in Full Size Pattern Section No. 2) to the appropriate stock and cut them to shape with the scroll saw. For uniformity the side panels can be stack sawn. Sand all pieces as needed. |
