Loy wax paper over the full size pattern. Starting from the left side, edge giue the lion and lamb pieces together by applying a small bead of glue to the lower edges and pressing them together. Shim the lion's nose and paws up 1/8". (Small pieces like fhe eyes and brows of the lion will be glued in place after the main parts of fhe lion and lamb are glued fo the backgiound.) Set aside lo dn/.

Place the bedding piece on the pattern. Align the bottom edge of the bedding piece with the bottom pattern line, slide the piece to the right, and freehand draw the left top line of the bedding. In the same manner, slide the piece to the left and freehand draw the right top line of the bedding.

Place the lion/lamb piece on top of the bedding. Slide a shim under the lion and lamb, aligning the edges with the paitern. Trace the botlorn edge of the lion/lamb piece onto the bedding. continued on page 68
