Popular Woodworking 2008-11 № 172, страница 18Tool Test BY THE POPULAR WOODWORKING STAFF Triton's Bargain Sander In fact, the only real difference I noticed is that the Triton was noisier than other oscillating spindle sanders thai have slower induction-style motors. The Triton's motor and fan had a high whine that put out 82 d B, which was about 4 decibels more lhan the other sanders in our shop. Another difference is that the Triton comes with six sanding sleeves, while some other machines come with fewer. The Triton hasa 1 l/2" dust port at the rear of the machine, which works fairly well (no one makes a dust-free spindle sander t hat I know of). The table is a bit smaller than the Delta's, though I thought the Triton had more than enough real estate to support the work 1 do. The Triion isn'i designed fora production shop, but I was surprised by how much power the little guy has. It handled our work-a-day shop chores with ease, and when we tried to bog down the machine with thick work and heavy pressure, the Triion kepi on sanding. The Triton's spindle spins a little faster than iiscompetiiorsat 2,000 rpm, but it has a smaller up-and-down stroke -Vs" compared 10 V-t" and From a practical standpoint, however, the Triton was about as aggressive as other machines I've used. New Bosch T308B Blades Jigsaws excel ai certain tasks, but have never been known for making nice cuts. Afier culling the odd curve, you need 10 follow behind to remove the telltale saw marks. Until now. What has changed is 1 he blade, and Bosch has come up with a real winner. The new blades, called "Extra Clean for Wood," feature two distinct types of teeth.
