Woodworker's Journal 1993-17-4, страница 45ce.***"- VATTtRH Once the large wheels are mounted, you can locate and glue the fenders in place, add ihe tool boxes on either side, and drill for and mount the various remaining pegs. Note that one of the two remaining large pegs mounts the spare wheel, and that the final large peg is cut short and serves as a radiator cap. The four medium pegs (V) secure the bumpers, while the small pegs (W) serve as pedals, tank filler caps, and to mount the pair of small wheels (T> that serve as headlamps. Lastly, cut and glue the steering column, and mount ihe medium wheel (S). which serves as the steering wheel. Finish Since toys typically are subject to some rough use, and may end up in ihe mouth, we don't recommend a surface finish. The safest finish is none ai all, but if you want something to bring out the beauty of the wood, then iry Preserve Non-toxic Nut Oil (available from Woodcraft, tel. 1-800-225-1153). Made from nut meats. Preserve is safe not only when dry bui also in liquid stage, making it the only trulv non-toxic penetrating oil finish.
