Dremel's 400 Series XPR is "the next generation" in rotary tools. A permanent magnet type motor allows the 400 Series XPR to maintain its full motor performance at both high speed (for routing) and low speed (for precise cuts and intricate projects). You set the speed of the tool with a numbered speed control dial, separate from the on/off switch, which goes from 5,000 to 35,000 rpm. Stop and start the tool at the same speed setting —there's no need to change the dial again or to work back up to the speed you wanted.

Smooth adjustment — and silent dust collection — are two key features in new benchtop BSI00ISV 10" Band Saw with Silent Vac™ dust collection

A radial fan in the lower wheel of the I/2 HP band saw creates a gasket 98 percent efficient, dust collection system that pushes dust into the included dust bag and makes no noise beyond that of the saw itself.

Rack-and-pinion blade-guide height adjustments contribute to the smooth operation of the saw whose 10" throat allows it to cut sizeable tasks at a 3,000 rpm rate. Independent upper and lower ball bearing blade guides and an illuminated blade-tracking window which lets you watch the blades it accommodates — up to I/2" wide — are also part of the saw's features.

Weighing 82 pounds and selling for approximately $200, the BSIOOISVs table tilting saw table expands to the right of the blade for an I8V2" cutting capacity. A heavy-duty rip fence with scale indicator eliminates the need for outfeed support.
