It's not unheard of to find that a new tool alters your view of woodworking, but I can't think of any I've picked up lately that are quite as illuminating as these new LED worklights. Both Rockier Woodworking and Hardware and Striked have recently come out with these little magnetic beauties that stick to your machines and show you what you're doing — even way up close. Striker's Magnetic LED Light is a wide angle spotlight that sticks to stuff with the aid of rare-earth magnets dotted around the perimeter. That means it can also be used to pick up screws, nails or other parts you might drop. It sells for $7 to $8.

Rockler's LED Work Light sheds even more light on things with two interchangeable heads: a spotlight with 14 LED bulbs and a magnifying light with 18 (it's a 5x magnifier). Both heads are also available separately. Mount it to something metal

with the magnetic base, and use the flexible arm to shine the light right where you want it. Prices range from $10 for the spotlight head only to about $65 for the Work Light with Magnifying Head.

Another multitasking tool in this month's roundup is Dremel's new Multi-Max"' Oscillating Tool System. It comes with 12 different accessories and the QuickFit™ system for accessory changes, so it's super-speedy to find the right attachment for all of the sanding, grinding, scraping and cutting — including dovetails — you can do with the tool. The new Multi-Max, with all its accessories and storage case, sells for under $100.

Is all that multitasking making you hungry? Ready to settle down with a bowl of chips and dip? How about a cool bowl
