Background Wizardry behind the Seagull Bay Plaque by George Ahlers The striking background of the Seagull Bay Plaque is easy to create with the Visions AirPainter. Start by marking the location of the captured frame on the backer board. Establish a horizon line and spray a band of Royal Blue there (see Fig. 1). Mist the upper portion of the backer board with Royal Blue as well. Spray Holiday Red between the bands of Royal Blue, allowing the red to blend with both (see Fig. 2). Concentrate a band of Lemon Yellow in the center of the Holiday Red (see Fig. 3). Take care not to get any yellow overspray on the blue areas or it will produce a green tint. Mist the lower portion of the backer with Lemon Yellow as well. Finally, spray the lower portion of the backer board with Holiday Green (see Fig. 4). blending the paints to look like water.
