SUPPLIES

Tools: scroll saw; saw for cross cutting and ripping; drill with bits including a 13/16"-Dia. bit; router with Roman ogee, 5/32"-Dia. reverse curve, 1/4"-Dia. straight, and 3/8"-Dia. straight bits Temporary-bond spray adhesive Sandpaper, assorted grits Wood glue

Clear oil finish of choice 6' cord with candelabra socket

and switch* 4 watt clear bulb*

INSTRUCTIONS

Shape the components

Refer to the router profiles found in Full Size Pattern Section No. 1 for shaping the various components. Size the oak to the dimensions listed in the Bill of Materials. Next, rout the 3/8"-wide x 1/8"-deep grooves which will receive the screen as well as the 1/4"-wide x 1/8"-deep grooves which will receive the back into the two side pieces (B) as shown.

On the base molding piece (E), rout the 1/4"-wide x 1/4"-deep groove which will receive the bottom. Next, rout a decorative profile on the upper edge with the Roman ogee bit. Sand all of the pieces.

Assemble the light box

Referring to the Exploded View Drawing, assemble the light box, then fasten all of the joints with glue.
