INSTRUCTIONS

Copy the patterns, found in Full Size Pattern Section No. 1, and adhere them to the selected stock with temporary-bond spray adhesive. Drill blade entry holes in the waste areas of the patterns, insert the scroll saw blade, and make the interior cuts first. When finished, saw around the perimeter of each piece.

Remove the paper pattern and sand the pieces with the belt and hand held sanders. Remove any burrs and clean up the cuts as necessary with the X-acto knife or needle pick.

Once cut, paint the pieces using the photograph as a reference. Cut a piece of red felt or poster board large enough to cover the apple cutouts in the leaves, but smaller than the tree. Spray the back side of the tree wrth permanent-bond spray adhesive and apply the red backing material (see Fig. 1). Next, glue the holder in place.

Attach the tree and grass to the base (see Fig. 2). When the glue has dried, install the mini pendulum drive into the holder, trimming the rod to the appropriate length. Drill a small hole in the top of the boy and install on the end of the rod, then install the clock insert.
