Eric was a finalist in our Scroll World pattern designing contest. In addition to his entry, Eric also'sent in a few other highly original plans which really caught our attention. 'Here, Eric tells his stcrv:

About 12 years ago, I started making Christmas qifts for my children and our families. One day, I received a book on band saw art and found a new inleresL. I experimented with the projects by adding colors in place of stains, and from there started to make my own designs.

Several years later, while at a craft show, I came across some intarsia work. I went home inspired, and began to adapt some of my designs to encompass this newfound art form.

Besides makinq intarsia pictures, 1 found ways to include the art into the structure of

my home. We had a problem with our front door—the inset panel was cracked and needed replacing. 1 designed, built, and the placed the "Welcome" sign on the outside and "Sunrise Over The Lake" on the inside of lhc door. It beautifully solved that problem!
