don't have this tool, this step can be eliminated.

The legs and lyre (H and I) will have to be compound cut. Glue the patterns to the wood, folding the pattern around one edge of the wood. Cut one side and tape the pieces back together. Next, cut the other side, and presto! you've made a compound cut. Sand with fine grit sandpaper. Saw out the remaining pieces and re-sand.

Assemble the body Temporarily attach the top (C) to the j body (A) with the brass hinges. Glue i the bottom (B) to the body and sand j the edges flush. The objective here j is to hide the joints and produce a: smooth body and bottom edge.; Remove the top. Assemble the; remaining pieces using the 1/8"-Dia.; dowels as guides to line everything up. j

Make the keyboard The keyboard is made up of two i pieces, J and K. Carefully cut the j black keys (J), then use the craft: knife to scribe the lines into the wood i to simulate the white keys (K). Paint j the white keys white and the black j keys black. When dry, glue the black keys to the white keys (see the Keyboard Assembly Drawing). Cut' off both pieces as shown by thej dashed line. Sand the back surface j lightly and fit the keyboard in place. Next, fit the two spacers (L) on either end. Note: do not glue the keyboard in place at this time.

Paint, flock, and finish

Sand all over using extra fine sandpaper. Paint with primer and two to three coats of high gloss black paint. Sand using 400 grit sandpaper between coats of paint. You will want a smooth, high gloss finish like a real piano. Be sure to paint and sand the front board (M) also.

Re-sand the final coat with 400 grit sandpaper. Paint the jewelry box area with red paint, taking care not to get the paint anywhere but in this area. Flock the jewelry box area with red flock following the manufacturer's instructions.

Glue the keyboard and front board in place. Paint the three wheels gold. Apply a coat of paste wax. Epoxy the music box in place, wind, and enjoy!
