Winners in any show. 51 turn Ron Pearce of London, Ontario loose with his chisels to reveal the Indian in a buffalo robe that was there for anyone to see. taken woodburning to a fine art: as evidenced by "The Hunter" (wolf) and "Past Pride"' (Native American). "Class Trip" was carved and colored by Sjanie Bethlehem of Burlington, Ontario. At first glance, this may appear to be an in tarsia piece, but it is actually a relief carving. The following photographs represent just a small portion of the entries submitted for the annual competition sponsored by the Woodstock Show. 11 is quite obvious from the range and quality of the pieces that this is a well juried contest. Special thanks go to Vicki Talbot, Chairperson of the contest, for graciously allowing us access to the entries tor these photographs. This medicine cabinet was made by Edward Chrzanowski of Brantford, Ontario. Not only is the work exquisite, but Edward even used faceted crystal for the door and drawer pulls.
