Attach the arm rest support (E) to the outside of the

Cut a 27 degree angle along the edge of a 3" wide piece of stock and joint the edge to remove the saw marks. Check it against your seat back. You may have to make some minor adjustments to get an angle that fits snugly. Clamp it in place with spring clamps and trace the profile of the back of the arm assembly on this piece. Cut out on the band saw and sand smooth.

Step 28. Locate the centerline for the angled support and pre-drill and place one 1-5/8" x No. 6 screw in the center of each seat back slat as shown in the photograph._

Step 29. I applied two coats of Behr No. 92 Clear Waterproofing to the chair. I put an addi-tional coat on all of the end grain._

Step 27. Drive two 1-1/4" x No. 6 screws in from the bottom to hold the support piece in place. Add a 1/4" x 2" carriage bolt in the center of the assembly for additional support._
