Variety is The Spice of Life!

As I review the contents of this issue. I am struck by the variety of projects and features we have to offer you. There's something of value for everyone. From the French Lyre Clock to the Water Buffalo Horn Bolo Tie, fr^m carvin^ whatever your something

applied to this magazine, It is so important to share our knowledge while variety does make it and experience with our children, more interesting, it is the high

quality of each project that becomes the common denominator.

Thankfully woodcrafting has very little to do with political science, but there has been some recent discussion concerning the diversity of projects in Creative Woodworks and Crafts which I felt should be addressed. To be sure, the vast majority of readers really like our project selections and urge us not to change a thing. There are, however, always one or two vocal scrollers who only want scroll saw patterns, or carvers who only want carving projects, and so on. It's impossible to entirely please everyone, but we do the best we can. So stop stressing over the contents, pick a project you like, roll up your sleeves, and start making it. I'd rather be cutting than complaining any day.

For my part, of all the great things in this issue, I'd have to say my personal favorite is Dave Klimchuk's article, "Scrolling With Kids," on page 34. This is a subject that is close to my heart. It is vitally important to share your knowledge with the next generation, whether it's your children, grandchildren, a scout troop or whatever. From time to time in future issues, Creative Woodworks and Crafts will feature kid-friendly projects so you can spend some time making things with your children. After all, if we don't pass along our skills, we stand the risk of losing them forever—then who would argue about what should be in this magazine?

Until next time, all the best and happy woodcrafting!
