Ornaments

Ornament Nos. 2-7

These ornaments can be cut out as a single piece or with a contrasting wood backer board.

Follow the instructions outlined above for cutting and finishing these ornaments as well. Note: if you are adding a backer board, make only the inside cuts on the overlay piece, then sand the back of the ornament and glue it to a contrasting piece of wood. Allow the glue to dry, then saw around the perimeter and bore a hanger hole.

INSTRUCTIONS

Ornament No. 1

One-Piece Ornament

Adhere the pattern to the wood with spray adhesive. Bore blade entry holes and make all cuts. Drill the small hanger hole indicated on the pattern.

Remove pattern and sand as needed. Remove all burrs and clean up any cuts with the X-acto knife or needle pick.

Apply oil finish per manufacturer's instructions. Thread a small ornament wire hanger or small string through the hanger hole. Proudly hang ornament on your tree and enjoy!

Ornament Nos. 8 and 9

Muiti-Piece Ornaments Once again, follow the instructions outlined for Ornament No. 1.

Refer to the Ornament Assembly Drawing when joining the three-piece ornaments together. Apply a small bead of glue to the five C pieces and insert them through the middle layer (piece A). Apply additional beads of glue to the C pieces and insert them through the outside layers (pieces B) on both ends. Allow the glue to dry for at least one hour.
