A Few Basic Painting Tips

Get a handle on the process

To make handles on the pieces for spray painting, f cut siots in the ends of 1/4" x 1/4" x 6" pieces of | wood. Epoxy an X-acto blade into each slot. Next, s place a blade into the back of each piece to be paint- \ ed. Bore holes in a scrap piece of 4 x 4 stock to % make a drying stand (see Fig. 6).

Thinning paint

In general, mixing equal amounts of paint and acrylic | thinner will create a good consistency. You may | have to adjust the mixture depending on the type of \ airbrush you're using. Pouring the thinned paint | through a fine strainer will help prevent spraying | problems as well.
