Bore blade entry holes in the waste areas of the upright piece, as well as the 1-3/8"-Dia. hole to receive the clock movement. Saw the pieces to shape. On the upright piece, start with the interior cuts and finish by sawing around the perimeter. Thoroughly sand both pieces. Glue the upright in place on the base.
