Bore blade entry holes in the waste areas of each piece, as well as the 1-3/8"-Dia. hole to receive the clock movement and the pendulum drive. Saw the pieces to shape, starting with the interior cuts and finishing with the perimeter. Thoroughly sand both pieces. Referring to the pattern, glue the upright in place on the base.
