Use either a piece of sandpaper on a dowel or a Sand both sides through 320 grit. Hold the pieces together rotary sander to fair out the drill holes, while you sand to keep from rounding over the edges of each piece. Be sure to use adequate dust collection. Step 5. Use glue of choice to glue up the layers, following the instructions on the pattern. Here, we used Krazy glue, which can be found in any home or hobby center. We like it because it sets up faster. Hold each layer in place until the glue sets. Once all layers are glued up, lay a 20-pound weight on top and let set several hours before applying the finish. Step 6. Apply the finish of your choice. Here, we are applying Watco Wipe-on Poly with a brush and wiping the excess off with a lint-free rag. Apply as many coats as desired. That's it! 34 • Creative Woodworks S.
