INSTRUCTIONS

Copy the patterns and transfer them to |the selectea stock, j?attaching them with ' spray aahesive. Bore Plade entry holes in the waste areas of the overlay pattern. Saw the overlay to shape, beginning with the inside and working toward the perimeter. Cut the backer to shape by sawing around the outside of the pattern.

Thoroughly sand the piece. Referring to the Assembly Drawing and the Full Size Pattern, glue the . overlay in place on the backer. Apply two coats of clear finish to the assembly. When dry, attach the hanger to the back of the piece. Hang and enjoy! jjfj

SUPPLIES

Wood: red oak or wood of choice—one piece 1 /8" x 8-1/2" x 8-1/4" (for the sun overlay); walnui or contrasting wood of choice—1 /4" x 9" x 9" (for the backer)

Tools: scroll saw with assorted blades; drill with bits Temporary-bond spray adhesive Sandpaper, assorted grits Wood glue

Clear oil finish of choice Hanger of choice
