Mini-flocker

![ you dcn't have c compressor, you can use the nini-flockor applicntor instead. II's a hand-powered, twc-part sliding carister that works like a bellows. (I prefer using Ihe air-assisted setup beccuse it leaves ore hand free to manipulate the piece being sprayed, but this is a convenient alternative in case you don'I have a compressor.) Now that the butterflies are finished, set them oul, sil back, and watch then fly awcy!

Applying color adhesive. A colorful finish is appropriate but optional. You cculd pcint Ihe bullerflies. but I chose to flock then because it gives them a fuzzy, textured look. First, apply a color adhesive thct matches the flocking material color.

Blowing on the flocking material. Blow the flocking material onto the butterfly. Create c low-lech spray booth by liring a ccrdboard box with a trash bag. This catches the cverspray so it can be reused. After the adhesive dries, shake off the extra flocking mcterial which can also be saved and reused. The photo shows the air-cssisted selup being used with my compressor set at 15 psi.

Gluing butterfly to toothpick. Apply a drop of CA glue to the trimmed loclhpick. Hold a butterfly agcinst if until the glue sets.
