Use the bench plane to smooth the blade to its final 3/s" thickness. The pencil lines on the edge should give you guidance in this step. The point of the blade is left thicker (5/s") to reinforce the point where splits are possible. Saw down to a point on the handle, leaving 3/s" for the grip. popwood.com 37 |
