For many users it was with our HL 850 Planer. This unique tool features a planer head that extends all the way out to the edge of the housing. The cutting edge ends flush with the tool edge - that means you can plane right up against inside rebates.

The HL 850 is also smoother and quieter than most other planers. The spiral blade is drawn across the workpiece at an angle, for less noise and a smoother surface. (Or not -we also offer special heads for distressed effects.) Of course, the HL 850 has a chip extraction port and fits our tool-triggered CT Mobile Dust Extractors.
