assembly by gluing ihe facial elements lo the dancer. Most of Ihe decorative elements are simply glued in place, bui you should add '/s in. diameter reinforcing dowels for the dancer, puma, cacli and aloe plants, to give these parts a little extra protection against being accidentally dislodged.

Apply Finish

Beautiful woods such as the ones used for this projcct usually look best w ith a natural finish. We simply flooded on several coats of a good penetrating oil. wiping off the excess after each application and letting dry. A Q-lip type cotton sw ab comes in handy for soaking up excess finish in tight spots. Although we didn't use one, you may want lo add a felt bottom to your bookends.
