The body of this project is a basic lamination of seven pine laminations. Chamfer the outermost pair of laminations on each end to reduce the amount of waste stock you'll have to remove with a gouge. Use a jigsaw to remove the center portions of the middle five laminations to provide for the hollow center. There's no need to remove these areas with more complex techniques on the lathe.
