You can even mix different species of wood for §§ totally new color combinations. II Make the clocks || Transfer the patterns to the wood and cut to shape with a II scroll saw. Continuing to refer to the patterns, lay out and cut || the bases. Using a 1-3/8"-Dia. Forstner bit, bore the holes for the clock || inserts at the locations indicated. Drill and countersink pilot H holes in the bases (for the screws which will attach the H uprights) at the locations shown on the base patterns. Attach the uprights to the bases with glue and the appropri-§§ ate size wood screws. Insert the mini clock movements into | the 1-3/8"-Dia. holes as shown in the Typical Exploded View Drawing.
