Bore the 1-1/8"-Dia. holes in the sandwich pieces with the Forstner bit as indicated. Bore the T'-Dia. hole in the base piece with the spade bit. Cut the pieces to shape. Use the scroll saw to make the interior cuts in the Swiss cheese and to saw around the perimeter of the curved or irregular designs. Use a table saw to cut the straight edges. SUPPLIES Wood: pine—-one piece 3/4" x 5" x 5" (for the base), three pieces 1/2" x 4-3/4" x 4-3/4" (for the bread); medium-density fiber board or masonite—eight pieces 1/4" x 4-3/4" x 4-3/4" (for the turkey, tomatoes, onions, and lettuce), four pieces 1 /4" x 4-3/8" x 4-3/8" (for the ham and American cheese), two pieces 1/4" x 4-1/2" x 4-5/8" (for the Swiss cheese), four pieces 1/4" x 1-5/8" x 4-3/8" (for the bacon slices), four pieces 1/4" x 1 -1/2" x 5" (for the pickles) Tools: scroll saw with No. 5 (PGT) blade; drill press with bits including 1,:-Dia. spade bit and 1-1/8"-Dia.
