Ham Swiss cheese

Basecoat with a mixture of one part Burnt Sienna and five parts Gypsy Rose

Float the edges with Maroon

American cheese

Basecoat with Lt. Foliage Green Float around the edges with Pk, Jungle Green Add details with Pk, Jungle Green and Lt. Ivory using the liner brush

Basecoat with Empire Gold Float the edges with Yellow

Make the base

Using the router, round over the edges of the base. Cut the dowel to size and slightly round the top with sandpaper. Insert it into the hole in the base and secure with glue. Allow to dry. Paint the base Black, and the dowel Lt. Ivory.

Paint the sandwich pieces

Sand all of the pieces, wipe with the tack cloth, and apply gesso. Allow to dry. Referring to the color worksheets, paint each of the sandwich pieces.

Buff each piece with a piece of crumpled brown paper bag. Spray on a coat of clear finish and allow to dry. Once dry, rebuff all pieces with the crumpled piece of brown paper bag and place on a drying board for two days to ensure that the pieces don't stick together once assembled. ||
