The lower shelf consists of seven lengths of VA x 1754" stock resting on cleats which are screwed between the front and back legs. Allow equal space between the slats, and fasten them to the cleats with a screw at each end.

The drawer front is rabbeted along the top and ends to receive the 3% "-wide sides. The bottom.
